Dell publishes three Alienware Gaming laptops powered by Ivy Bridge

Dell added three new Alienware high-performance notebooks . The new models will be powered by Intel's third-generation Core processors, called Ivy Bridge. There will be 14, 17.3, and 18.4-inch notebooks (named M14x, M17x, and M18x, respectively) included in the series, all featuring the latest mobile graphics from Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices. The three laptops run Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate and integrate a 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet network card and Wireless-N integrated with Bluetooth 4.0, as well as an option WiMax. For audio, the media setup includes the Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di HD 5.1 software with THX TruStudio Pro or a 2.1 configuration with Klipsch powered subwoofer.

The Alienware M14x offers, with the standard configuration with Core i5-2450M 0.5 GHz, but the laptop can also be configured with one of the three chips Ivy Bridge : Core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHz, Core i7-3720QM 2.6 GHz or Core 2.7- GHz i7-3820QM. The M17x is priced at $ 1499 and offers a processor option for the 2.3GHz Core i7-3610QM, the 2.6GHz Core i7-3720QM or the 2.7GHz Core i7-3820QM. The M18x can be configured with the same processor options as the M17x plus Intel's 2.9 GHz Core i7-3920XM and sells for $ 1,999. Both laptops are currently available on Dell.com and Alienware.com.

Dell also announced a collaboration with Electronic Arts to implement Dell's AlienFX software and Battlefield 3 lighting control system. Alienware Computer will also have special access to an exclusive Alienware Arena dog tag in the first person shooter
